West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has pledged to bring the Tata Group back to the state and simultaneously warned against any law and order violations, stating he would be the 'worst CM' if such breaches occurred. Adhikari highlighted the completion of one month in office for the 'double-engine government,' emphasizing the extension of central welfare benefits and upcoming projects, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit on June 20 and 21.
Adhikari stressed the importance of the Constitution and acting in the people's best interests. He pointed to the Modi government's achievements over 12 years, including infrastructure development, farmer support, and social welfare initiatives like housing and sanitation. The Chief Minister also outlined plans for developing nine border districts as 'vibrant villages' and enhancing security in strategic areas of North Bengal by transferring land to the BSF.
The government's priorities include increasing revenue, fostering a business- and industry-friendly environment, ensuring corruption-free employment, implementing welfare schemes, and maintaining law and order, with a particular focus on women's safety and security. Efforts will be made to build a self-reliant West Bengal, aligning with 'vocal for local' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' principles.
