Will Young has been called into the New Zealand test squad to replace Kane Williamson, who retired from all international cricket on Friday. Young is scheduled to arrive in Britain on Sunday for the remaining two test matches against England.
Williamson, New Zealand's all-time leading Test run-scorer, retired following the 115-run defeat in the first Test at Lord's. He scored 0 and 18 in that match. Young, who averages 31.97 in 23 Tests, will arrive in England before the second Test at The Oval begins on Wednesday.
New Zealand are trailing the three-match series 1-0. The third and final match of the series at Trent Bridge begins on June 25.
