Ukrainian agricultural company Nibulon has reported a significant increase in its grain exports, shipping 3.15 million tonnes in the 2025-26 marketing year, a 32% rise year-on-year. This follows a record volume of 1.41 million tonnes exported in the first quarter of the current marketing year, surpassing the previous first-quarter record set in 2015/16.
Wheat constituted the largest portion of Nibulon's exports, making up 47.3% of the total volume, followed by barley and rapeseed at approximately 18% each. Corn accounted for 16.6% of the exported commodities. The company has maintained its market share and leadership despite an increasing number of exporters.
Nibulon has also focused on optimizing internal logistics through increased river transportation. In August, the company set a record for the volume of agricultural products loaded for export directly from the roads, without calling at ports, transporting nearly 300,000 tonnes via river transport. This strategy has led to approximately 60% of grain for export being transported by river, reducing the load on the country's roads. The company has transported over 12 million tonnes of various cargoes by inland waterways, removing an estimated 500,000 trucks from roads. Nibulon plans to expand its fleet to 100 units to transport 4 million tonnes annually.
