Inox Wind Ltd. has announced a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Inox Clean Energy to supply 1,500 MW of wind turbines. This agreement is set to bolster Inox Wind's existing order book, pushing it past 4.5 GW and providing visibility for several years.
The turbines to be supplied under this pact include Inox Wind's 3.3 MW and 4X MW models, intended for renewable energy projects developed by Inox Clean Energy across India. Inox Clean Energy has ambitious plans, targeting an operational renewable portfolio of 14 GW by fiscal year 2029.
In separate developments, Inox Wind has also secured an order for 153 MW of wind turbines in Tamil Nadu from a global clean energy player. This order involves supplying 51 turbines, each with a 3 MW capacity, and includes limited scope engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) as well as multi-year operations and maintenance (O&M) services.
Furthermore, Inox Wind's 3 MW Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) has achieved a significant milestone by being listed in the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers (RLMM) by India's Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. This recognition, for a turbine developed in collaboration with American Superconductor Corporation (AMSC), positions the 3 MW WTG as commercially available and is expected to drive increased manufacturing and supply to meet growing market demand, aligning with India's goal of approximately 140 GW of wind capacity by 2030.
