CN also reported achieving 10 months of record grain movement during the 2025-26 crop year. For the 2026-27 crop year, CN anticipates moving between 30 to 33 MMTs of grain and processed grain products from western Canada. Both CN and CPKC are required by federal law to submit annual grain service outlook reports to the Minister of Transport.
