For ground beef, Walmart's 1-pound roll of 73% lean beef was priced at $5.94, slightly lower than Kroger's at $5.99. Amazon did not offer a 1-pound package, but a 3-pound roll worked out to $6.15 per pound.
Sweet corn was significantly cheaper at Walmart for $0.25 per ear, compared to $0.40 at Kroger and $1.25 at Amazon. Fresh red cherries were priced at $2.50 per pound at Walmart, while Kroger and Amazon both offered them at $2.99 per pound. Kroger's price required a loyalty card, and the sale was not advertised in their weekly flyer.
All three retailers offered generic 48-ounce tubs of ice cream for under $3, with Kroger having the lowest price among them.
