The company sold 86,707 units in the second quarter, up from 80,607 units in the same period last year. Sales at its Trucks North America business saw an 8% rise, reaching 41,687 units.
Despite ongoing macroeconomic uncertainties, Daimler Truck maintained strong profitability. The Industrial Business revenue stood at €11.8 billion, with adjusted Group EBIT at €1.12 billion. The adjusted return on sales (ROS) in the Industrial Business remained stable at 9.3%. Trucks North America reported a strong adjusted ROS of 12.9%, while Mercedes-Benz Trucks improved its profitability to 5.9%. Daimler Buses achieved an adjusted ROS of 10.0%, and Trucks Asia increased its profit margin to 5.4%.
Group unit sales of battery-electric trucks and buses (ZEVs) significantly increased to 1,232 units. Overall incoming orders for the Group totaled 88,241 units, reflecting market uncertainty, particularly in North America, though Mercedes-Benz Trucks saw increased orders.
