The twin-motor Cessna 421 carrying Guillemot and a flight instructor crashed near La Baule airport as it approached for landing. Both individuals, who were licensed and experienced pilots, perished in the incident.
Authorities confirmed the crash on Saturday, and an investigation into the cause is underway. Ubisoft acknowledged Guillemot's death but offered no further comment. Guillemot, along with four of his brothers, established Ubisoft in 1986. The company is also recognized for its popular game series including Just Dance, Rayman, and Tom Clancy titles.
