RiceTec, a global leader in rice seed technology, has officially opened a new state-of-the-art greenhouse facility in Alvin, Texas. The investment is intended to enhance the company's capacity for advancing breeding and research initiatives, accelerating the development of new technologies, and supporting its mission to deliver value to rice farmers worldwide.

The opening was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by RiceTec employees, board members, and project team members. Amitabh Mohanty, Global Head of R&D, spoke at the event, emphasizing collaboration, safety, and scientific excellence. Princess Tatjana von und zu Liechtenstein, Chair of the Liechtenstein Group and RiceTec's owner, officially cut the ribbon, highlighting the organization's support for agricultural progress and its commitment to meeting the growing global demand for rice.

The new facility, which includes six 24'x100' gutter-connected E.C.O. Commercial Gable greenhouses, is designed to foster teamwork and cultivate people-centric technologies. RiceTec stated that the greenhouse strengthens its ability to provide technologies that help farmers increase yields, improve resource efficiency, and contribute to global food security.
