Morgan Stanley hires BofA's Kweskin for diversified industries coverage

Morgan Stanley has recruited Adam Kweskin, a seasoned banker from Bank of America, to bolster its Global Industrials Investment Banking Group. Kweskin, who was a managing director at Bank of America focusing on industrials, will now cover diversified industries with a specific emphasis on the water ecosystem from his New York base.

Kweskin's move comes amid a period of significant senior departures from Bank of America's investment banking division. This trend includes notable exits such as business services banker Brian Henderson, activism defense specialist Amy Lissauer, and technology bankers Rohan Sen and Ed Liu.

Despite these departures, Bank of America has been actively recruiting, hiring over 40 managing directors this year. Among these new hires are Jason Rowe, who joins from Goldman Sachs as co-head of technology investment banking, and Gary Kirkham, formerly of Centerview Partners, who will serve as vice chairman of Global Corporate and Investment Banking.

Morgan Stanley has also been active in its recruitment efforts, recently bringing in Sam Jackson from Jefferies to lead coverage of building products and Emma Taylor as co-head of global internet banking. Additionally, Mélanie Flouquet was appointed global head of luxury goods in Paris, and former Citigroup banker Niall Cannon was hired as a senior investment banker focused on software.
