Manchester United agrees eight-figure Amazon Prime Video documentary deal

The deal sees Manchester United join a list of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester City, who have previously participated in the series, each reportedly receiving around £10 million. Reports suggest Manchester United's fee surpasses this amount, setting a new record for such a production.

Tara Erer, Prime Video's head of UK film and unscripted television and northern European originals, described Manchester United as a "global phenomenon" with unparalleled passion, history, and obsession, making it an ideal subject for the series. She expressed excitement about bringing the club's story to customers worldwide.

The club's decision to participate comes as they approach the 2026-27 season with optimism, following a strong performance under new manager Michael Carrick and securing Champions League qualification. Previously, the club had declined similar offers. Toby Craig, Manchester United's chief communications officer, stated that the current timing is appropriate to open the club's doors for the documentary, aiming to showcase its unique people, ambition, and culture, from the atmosphere at Old Trafford to the daily operations at Carrington.
