Australian rare earths producer Lynas Rare Earths announced that Chief Operating Officer Pol Le Roux will assume the role of interim CEO, succeeding retiring CEO Amanda Lacaze. Le Roux's appointment is effective June 30. Le Roux joined Lynas in late 2010 and has overseen the company's operations across Australia and Malaysia. He previously held roles at French chemicals company Rhône-Poulenc, now part of Solvay. Lynas Chair John Humphrey noted Le Roux's extensive experience and knowledge of the rare earths market.
