The deal, announced Tuesday, will integrate Matador's operations into GoRascal's platform, significantly boosting GoRascal's presence in Texas.
Matador Lending, founded in 2019, currently employs 50 loan originators and has generated approximately $59 million in production year-to-date. The company has experienced substantial growth, with its team expanding by nearly 70% over the past 18 months, reaching an annual volume run rate of about $200 million. Under the terms of the acquisition, Matador will continue to operate under its existing name as a DBA of GoRascal, with a strategic objective to achieve $1 billion in annual production.
GoRascal, which is licensed in all 50 states, has reported $2.1 billion in volume year-to-date and is on track to surpass $5 billion in funded volume by 2026. The combined entity intends to make substantial investments in recruiting loan officers across Texas and further extend GoRascal's national reach. Both companies utilize flat-fee business models. The partnership originated from a connection between Matador President Apurva Sanghavi and GoRascal co-founder and CEO Scott Valins.
