Forbes Travel Guide has unveiled its second annual list of the world's top hotel bars, highlighting 37 establishments across 18 countries. Of these, 13 bars are located in Europe, with France, the UK, and Scotland notably represented.
The selection process involved anonymous inspectors evaluating each bar's beverage program, service, and overall guest experience. Shanghai and Tokyo led the global list with three winning bars each.
In Europe, Le Bar Américain at Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo and Le Bar Botaniste at Shangri-La Paris were recognized for the second consecutive year. France also saw Abysse Bar at Royal Champagne Hotel & Spa and Martinez Bar at Hôtel Martinez receive accolades.
The United Kingdom featured two bars in London: Claridge's Bar and The Northall Bar at Corinthia London. Edinburgh matched London's count with Bar Prince at The Balmoral and The Wallace at 100 Princes Street.
Italy's Lounge Bar at Lefay Resort & Spa Dolomiti was praised for its use of local ingredients, while Tiepolo Lounge & Terrace at Rome Cavalieri was noted for its art-inspired menu. Ireland's The Prince of Wales Bar at Ashford Castle and The Vault Bar at Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam were also included, with the latter noted for its creative flair. Alelia Bar at One&Only Aesthesis in Greece rounded out the European selections, recognized for its views over the Athenian Riviera.
