Drogo Aerospace Pvt Ltd, a defense technology company based in Hyderabad, announced on Monday the delivery of the first batch of 41 JK 250e drones to the Indian Army. This delivery is part of a Rs 72-crore contract for a total of 217 drones, with the company aiming to complete all deliveries by August 2026.
The JK 250e drones, developed and manufactured by Drogo Aerospace, are designed for surveillance, reconnaissance, and other critical military missions, boasting a flight endurance of up to three hours on a single charge. The first batch was received by officials from the Army's Southern Command in Nasik, Maharashtra.
Drogo Aerospace Founder and CEO Yeshwanth Bonthu stated that this successful delivery validates the company's technological expertise and commitment to national security. The company is actively developing advanced technologies including indigenous loitering munitions, long-endurance UAVs, and AI-powered aerial intelligence platforms.
Furthermore, Drogo Aerospace is establishing a state-of-the-art drone manufacturing facility in Maheshwaram, Telangana, on approximately 4.5 acres of land allotted by the state government. This facility, spanning 1 lakh square feet, is expected to create around 500 additional jobs, complementing the company's current workforce of about 300 people. The expansion aims to strengthen Drogo Aerospace's position in India's growing defense and aerospace sector.
