Christophe Beaunoir, chief executive officer of Lesieur Groupe Avril, has been re-elected president of FEDIOL, the EU Vegetable Oil and Proteinmeal Industry. His new term will last for one year, concluding in June 2027.
Beaunoir, who has led the French vegetable oil brand Lesieur since April 2024, expressed gratitude for the renewed trust from FEDIOL members. He highlighted the importance of maintaining industry competitiveness and advocating for policy frameworks that address regulatory complexity and support decarbonization efforts.
During the FEDIOL general assembly, Daniel Stregels, managing director oilseeds EMEA at Cargill, was elected vice president. Stregels previously served as managing director edible oils Europe for Cargill from February 2023 to May 2026 and also chairs the Dutch Margarine, Oils and Fats industry association, MVO.
FEDIOL represents the interests of European oilseed crushers, vegetable oil refiners, and bottlers. Its membership includes 10 national associations and associated company members across seven EU countries. Collectively, FEDIOL members operate approximately 180 facilities in Europe and process around 60 million tonnes of raw materials annually.
