Beekeeper's Naturals has initiated a voluntary recall for Lot No. 5950 of its Saline Nasal Spray due to concerns over mold and yeast contamination. The company announced on June 11 that testing revealed microbial levels exceeding acceptable limits, potentially posing a risk of serious and life-threatening infections, particularly for individuals with compromised immune systems or lung conditions.
According to the company, the affected lot was shipped to Amazon before the test results were finalized due to a clerical error. Beekeeper's Naturals has received four reports of adverse reactions, including sinus congestion, irritation, and infection, which may be linked to the product. Approximately 585 units of the recalled lot were sold through Amazon between April 2 and April 24. The product is packaged in a 1-ounce bottle and has an expiration date of February 2028. Beekeeper's Naturals has stated that it has already contacted customers who purchased the affected lot via Amazon. No other Beekeeper's Naturals products, including Nasal Spray Max, are affected by this recall.
