Phuket International Airport has launched automated immigration gates for arriving international passengers, marking the first time this service is available for inbound travelers in Thailand. The airport plans to more than double the number of these autogates from 10 to 21, aiming to significantly reduce waiting times and ease congestion. Concurrently, the number of manned immigration counters will be reduced from 24 to 16.
