Industry leaders across India congratulated Modi on this milestone, highlighting his "transformative leadership" and the significant economic development and reforms undertaken during his tenure. Leaders from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), and Assocham praised the government's focus on improving the ease of doing business, which has fostered increased investor confidence. They noted that India has emerged as an influential global voice and a "bright spot" in the global economic system.
According to Assocham President Nirmal K Minda, India's GDP has more than doubled from approximately USD 1.9 trillion in 2013-14 to an estimated USD 4.1 trillion in 2025-26, with GDP growth increasing from 6.4% to 7.7% over the same period. Industry stakeholders expressed their commitment to working with the government to achieve the vision of 'Viksit Bharat by 2047', emphasizing inclusive and sustainable growth, strengthened competitiveness, and quality employment creation.
The Kremlin also praised Modi's achievement, with spokesman Dmitry Peskov stating that 250 million people had been pulled out of poverty during his rule. Peskov described India as one of the world's leading economic powers with the fastest growth rates and expressed hope that Modi would continue to contribute to the development of partnership relations between Russia and India.
