The Australasian Grain Science Association (AGSA) has announced its 76th annual conference, themed "Grain Diversity and Resilience Towards 2050," which will be held from August 26 to 28, 2026, at The Brighton Hotel Sydney – MGallery Collection. The conference aims to foster collaboration and share new ideas within the grain science community.
Nine key themes have been established to guide the program, covering economic and climate perspectives on Australian grain production, digital agriculture, advanced breeding for sustainability, microscopy and omics in grain development, grain quality assessment, ancient grains and Indigenous perspectives, grain nutrition, processing technologies, and sustainable grain utilization.
Researchers at all career stages are encouraged to submit their work. Key dates include abstract submission opening on February 16, 2026, closing on May 18, 2026, with notifications to presenters between June 15-19, 2026. Early-bird registration will be available from May 1 to July 31, 2026. A 15% discount on accommodation is offered at the conference venue for delegates who book directly and quote a specific promotion code.
