Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick stated in a letter to Anthropic that the company had worked with the U.S. government to address risks associated with its models, yielding significant progress. However, a second advanced Anthropic model, Fable 5, remains under an export ban that was initially imposed on June 12. The letter did not provide a timeline for lifting restrictions on Fable 5.
