Nvidia server supplier Wistron has opened a new manufacturing site in Fort Worth, Texas, as part of Nvidia's extensive supply chain expansion to meet domestic AI infrastructure demand and align with U.S. President Donald Trump's call for onshore manufacturing.
Wistron plans to invest $761 million in building AI supercomputing facilities in Texas, which are expected to be operational by the first half of 2026. The company will utilize NVIDIA technology, including digital twins and physics-informed AI, to create optimized, energy-efficient, and rapidly deployable manufacturing facilities. These digital twins, built using NVIDIA Omniverse, will allow for simulation and optimization of factory layouts and workflows before physical construction.
