Eli Lilly has released Phase 3 data for its triple agonist drug, retatrutide, which is designed to target multiple metabolic pathways involved in weight management. The TRIUMPH-1 trial showed that participants receiving the 12 mg dose of retatrutide experienced an average weight loss of 70.3 lbs, or 28.3% of their body weight, over an 80-week period. Furthermore, 65.3% of these participants achieved a body mass index (BMI) below 30. The drug also demonstrated a significant impact on secondary health issues, reducing knee osteoarthritis pain by up to 4.3 points, a 73.1% improvement. Retatrutide also showed potential in treating obstructive sleep apnea.
