Key facts
- Bio-Techne and Refeyn launched a new integrated workflow.
- The workflow combines icIEF fractionation and mass photometry.
- It allows direct characterization of aggregation and size within icIEF-resolved charge variants.
- The workflow is designed to reduce development risk and accelerate biosimilar manufacturing.
Bio-Techne and Refeyn have announced the closure of a critical gap in the characterization of bispecific antibodies and biosimilars with their new integrated workflow. This innovative solution combines isoelectric focusing (icIEF) fractionation with mass photometry. The integration allows for the direct characterization of aggregation and size within icIEF-resolved charge variants. The entire workflow can be completed in approximately four hours, which is expected to significantly reduce development risk and accelerate the manufacturing process for biosimilars.
