AI startup Reflection has secured a significant computing power deal with SpaceX, granting it access to additional capacity at the company's Colossus 2 data center. The agreement, effective from July 1, 2026, will see Reflection pay SpaceX $150 million per month until 2029. This deal provides Reflection with crucial Nvidia GB300 AI chips, essential for training and running advanced AI models. The total value of the contract could reach approximately $6.3 billion if it runs through its full term. Either party has the option to terminate the agreement with 90 days' notice after the initial three months. Reflection stated that the increased compute power will enable it to push the boundaries of open-source AI models. This agreement adds to a series of commercial wins for SpaceX, which has also entered into similar capacity deals with Google and AI startup Anthropic. Google's agreement, for instance, involves monthly payments of $920 million from October 2024 to June 2029.
