UK police arrest 12 in extreme right-wing terrorism probe

Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE) confirmed that four individuals—a 27-year-old woman from Hailsham and three men aged 33, 36, and 41 from Eastbourne—were arrested in East Sussex. These arrests were made under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000 as part of an intelligence-led operation.

Property searches were carried out at residential addresses in Eastbourne and Brighton. Sussex Police Assistant Chief Constable Steve Rayland acknowledged that such investigations can cause concern within the local community but emphasized that the arrests were part of a planned operation to enhance safety. He noted that an increased police presence in the area is routine for these types of investigations.
