President Donald Trump has overseen the addition of new artwork throughout the White House during his current term. These additions include five new statues in the Rose Garden, gold pieces and presidential portraits in the Oval Office, and photographs and paintings of himself displayed in various rooms.
White House spokesman Davis Ingle stated that President Trump is implementing "long-overdue and necessary renovations to beautify the People's House" as the nation approaches its 250th anniversary of independence. He added that the White House "will be properly glorified and remain in excellent condition for generations to come."
Among the new pieces is a painting by Marc Lipp in the Cross Hall, which replaced a portrait of President Barack Obama. This painting depicts Trump's response to an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Another portrait of Trump, created by Elena Ruseva under the name MAGA Langelo, was placed between portraits of former first ladies Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton. This artwork, titled "Free America. Trump.," features Trump's face overlaid with an American flag and is also used as his Truth Social profile photo.
In May 2025, a statue by sculptor Stan Watts, depicting Trump's attempted assassination in Butler, Pennsylvania, was displayed in the Oval Office next to the Resolute Desk. A group called the Trump Statue Project is reportedly raising funds for a larger, 9-foot version of this statue.
Additionally, in July 2025, the Cabinet Room was redecorated with artwork drawn from the White House Collection, complemented by gold medallions.
