Among the newly disclosed documents is an FBI account from February 2022 detailing a sighting in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where five U.S. Army members observed a "potato" shaped object with distinct edges and shimmering, fish-like scales hovering motionlessly over Cheyenne Mountain. The object, described as creamy-white and opalescent, remained for approximately two minutes before vanishing. Authorities suggested "backscattering of sunlight" as a possible explanation, though the witnesses maintained it was a clear day with no aircraft in the vicinity.
Another report examines sightings in October 2023 by six federal law enforcement agents who observed a bright orange orb appear above a ridgeline, spawning two to four smaller red orbs. In one instance, an orb hovered for several hours. While possible explanations included military exercises and testing of developmental U.S. technology, the report called for further investigation, not ruling out "unrecognized technology."
