A controversy has emerged surrounding an article published on the ConservativeHome website, attributed to Conservative MP Caroline Dinenage, chair of the Commons culture, media and sport committee. The article, published in November, accused the BBC of institutional bias and "deep anti-Israel bias," echoing claims made by former external adviser Michael Prescott.
However, Dinenage has now denied authoring the piece. Her office contacted the BeebWatch podcast, hosted by former BBC Radio 4 presenter Roger Bolton, to state that neither she nor her team wrote the article and that it did not accurately reflect her views. Bolton noted that during their interview, Dinenage had not questioned the article's authenticity, and he had challenged her on the claims of institutional bias.
