A Marine veteran, Jheyco Borda, was the target of a carjacking attempt by six teenagers in Oxon Hill, Maryland. Surveillance video captured the moment one of the teens pointed a gun at Borda's face and demanded his car keys and valuables. Borda, drawing on his Marine Corps combat training and adrenaline, wrestled the armed teen to the ground. During the struggle, the teen's gun discharged, firing through the back of Borda's truck, but miraculously, no one was hit. Borda's brother also intervened to help stop the attack. This incident is not the first crime of its kind on the street, as a similar car theft occurred in the same location two years prior. The Prince George's County Police Department has confirmed the arrest of two male teenagers and continues to investigate the involvement of the remaining four.
