SAN JOSE, June 19 (Reuters) - Costa Rican authorities arrested a man on Friday in connection with a suspected death threat against President Laura Fernandez, the country's security ministry announced.
Fernandez was evacuated earlier in the day during a tour in the northern part of the country to observe the effects of illegal gold mining, after a detonation was heard in the vicinity. No attack against the president was reported.
