A child has died and another person was injured following a police shooting incident in Senatobia, Mississippi. The shooting occurred on Sunday when a police officer discharged a firearm at a vehicle while responding to a shoplifting call outside a Walmart.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) is investigating the incident. According to the MBI, three individuals, including the child, were in the vehicle after exiting the store. As officers attempted to stop the vehicle, authorities stated the driver drove toward them, nearly striking an officer, prompting the officer to fire at the car.
