Bo Nickal praises Trump for hosting UFC event at White House

The event, held on the White House South Lawn, was part of broader celebrations commemorating the United States' 250th anniversary. It also coincided with Flag Day and President Trump's 80th birthday.

Earlier in the evening, the seven-fight card, scheduled to begin at 8 PM ET, experienced delays due to adverse weather conditions. Approaching thunderstorms, including lightning, heavy rain, and strong winds, raised safety concerns and prompted officials to temporarily suspend proceedings. A mandatory 30-minute shelter-in-place protocol was triggered by any lightning strike detected within a six-mile radius, with the countdown resetting if further lightning was recorded.

Following his win, Nickal thanked President Trump, Dana White, and the UFC. He also briefly greeted and spoke with tech billionaire Mark Zuckerberg after exiting the Octagon.
