Amit Kukreja of Amit Investing (@amitinvesting) joins Trading Trends the same day Palantir reports, fresh off his own sit-down with CEO Alex Karp. His takeaway is that the profits from AI are not landing at the model layer. He sees the value going to the compute underneath and the software applications on top, and says the models themselves increasingly look like a commodity that keeps getting cheaper. He also opens up his process: hunting undercovered stories, screening for profitable sustainable growth in founder-run companies with large addressable markets, starting a new position around two to three percent of the portfolio and letting it earn its way bigger, and adding to a name whose earnings were strong even as the stock fell hard. There is a sharp line between what he will scalp intraday and what he will actually own for five years. He discloses positions in the names discussed.
