Women’s rights advocates allegedly receiving death threats over female-only spaces

News24 host Jaimee Rogers warns alleged death threats against women’s rights advocates show how intimidation is silencing women who speak out in defence of female-only spaces. “Women's rights are eroding in Australia, and today women gathered in Sydney to fight for female-only spaces. However, one of Australia's leading women's rights advocates, Sall Grover, wasn't there,” Ms Rogers said. “She hasn't changed her mind. She has changed her plans because of alleged death threats. Think about where we have arrived. “A woman campaigning to protect female-only spaces says she doesn't feel safe enough to attend a women's rights rally. “Another advocate, Kirralie Smith, also received an alleged death threat in a private social media message from a trans activist. “That's not tolerance. That's not debate. That's intimidation of a woman for expressing a view some activists don't want to hear.”
