‘Woke 2.0’: AOC leads new wave of far-left politics

News24 host James Morrow warns that a new wave of “woke 2.0” has arrived, pointing to a startling statement from Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. “If you loved woke one, get ready for woke 2.0 … the old politics of woke weirdness and cancel culture meets a new breed of Democrat activists,” Mr Morrow said. “AOC is important here to talk about in this context because she is the standard bearer for a lot of what is coming next … she is a canny political operator, not quite your typical bomb thrower from the left, but rather someone who has set herself up as the far left's conduit to power. “For all her revolutionary rhetoric, she also stayed very close to the real centres of power, such as during the Biden administration … again, as she set herself up as the bridge between the new young radicals and the old party brass.”
