‘Where does it get us?’: Labor’s costly Pacific summit plan slammed

News24 Political Editor Andrew Clennell questions whether Labor’s push for a Pacific summit is worth the growing cost after leaders appear reluctant to attend. “I think they’ve said things like people are going to pay us back when they come, but if they don’t come, we don’t get paid back,” Mr Clennell told News24 host Peta Credlin. “Once you don’t get that summit in Adelaide that they were after, I just don’t see how worthwhile this is to Australia. “It’s all extra costs and where does it get us?”
