US trying to ‘squash’ the Iranian economy and ‘cut off any hope of a lifeline’

News24 US analyst Michael Ware claims the US is trying to “squash” the Iranian economy using tough sanctions. “Primarily what the Americans are trying to do is to squash the Iranian economy and to cut off any hope of a lifeline to prop it up,” he told News24. “Therefore, they’re trying to target – as President Trump says – anyone who does business with Iran.”
