US markets rise as government intervention drives down bond yields

CommSec’s James Gruber noted that US markets rose following government intervention to purchase bonds and lower yields. “The US market rose overnight; the S&P 500 was up 0.2 per cent,” Mr Gruber told News24. “That was after the US government intervened to buy bonds and reduce bond yields.
