‘Turned on its veterans’: Matt Keogh could cost Albanese the election

Former New South Wales Police Minister David Elliott warns Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is allowing Matt Keogh to destroy the government’s relationship with veterans, warning the fallout could lose Labor hundreds of thousands of votes. “I’ve never seen a minister lose its major state holder so quickly,” Mr Elliott told News24 host Jaimee Rogers. “Albanese is letting his minister just whittle away the goodwill that the government may have with hundreds of thousands of veterans right across this country. “I’ve never seen a government turn on its veterans so quickly. “I don’t think Albanese understands that Matt Keogh is clearly going to lose him the election based on this.”
