Trump’s Greenland saga concludes with ‘good resolution’ as security deal reached

​Center of the American Experiment John Hinderaker says US President Donald Trump’s threats of invading Greenland were “never serious”. ​“The agreement supposedly is going to be signed tomorrow; it is a security agreement. It doesn't change the legal status of Greenland and Denmark, but it gives the United States authority to look out for Greenland’s security, and it gives us the authority to bar other powers from having bases on Greenland,” Mr Hinderaker told News24 host James Macpherson. ​“This is all about Greenland’s strategic location and the scramble that is now going on among the United States, NATO, Russia, and China for control of the Arctic region. ​“I think that this is a good resolution.”
