News24 host Rita Panahi attacks jurors she says appeared to approach the Lindsay Clancy trial as a vehicle for political and social reform rather than focusing solely on the evidence. “We have finally heard from the lone juror, the holdout juror who held the line, to ensure a mistrial, to ensure Lindsay Clancy did not get away with murdering three helpless children,” Ms Panahi said. “In the past week we've heard plenty from the other jurors; they have demonstrated beyond any doubt that they did not assess this case on its merits. “They acted like leftist activists who wanted to use this trial, use the brutal murders of three children to make a political statement about making things better for women.”
