‘The public will not support’ the statue of Daniel Andrews

Veteran broadcaster Neil Mitchell says former Victorian premier Daniel Andrews and Premier Ben Carroll “don’t like each other” amid Daniel Andrews’ new statue. “The public will not support it,” Mr Mitchell said. “It would be symbolic to say look we’ll delay the statue but, it would cause hell in the Labor Party. I don’t know that he’s [Premier Ben Carroll] up to that really. Not yet.”
