ICE agents in Massachusetts at ‘greater risk’ with new law limiting state cooperation

Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey has signed the Protect Act into law which aims to limit state and local law enforcement cooperation with ICE. Republicans Overseas UK Chair Greg Swenson says, “It’s not going to work; it’s especially not going to work for the law enforcement agents like people who are working in ICE. It’s going to make their job more difficult”. “Ultimately, we’ll find the illegal migrants; we will deport them. But the ICE agents will be put at a much greater risk.”
