‘The hypocrisy is hard to miss’: Jaimee Rogers blasts counterprotesters

News24 host Jaimee Rogers accuses counterprotesters of hypocrisy, arguing freedom of speech and the right to protest must also extend to political views they disagree with. “An extraordinary display of hypocrisy played out on the streets of today. March for Australia rallies were held across the country,” Ms Rogers said. “But here's the thing about free speech. It doesn't only belong to people you agree with. “There was a counter-protest and take a look at some of the language used: no white Australia, smash racism and then this: build solidarity to abolish Australia. “The hypocrisy is hard to miss. Activist movements like these routinely demand the right to take to our streets and make their voices heard. “You cannot demand freedom to protest for your cause and aim to shut down someone else's political expression.”
