Opposition Leader Angus Taylor reacts to the Australian Tax Office calling a meeting with small businesses over backlash to stop accepting credit card payments. “They should just reverse the decision; they don’t need a meeting,” Mr Taylor said. “This is a government that says to small businesses you’ve got to absorb the surcharges, and then the Australian Tax Office says we’re not going to accept credit card payments because we can’t accept the surcharges. “The hypocrisy of this government knows no bounds; they are out of touch.”
