Environment and Water Minister Murray Watt dismisses the Coalition’s claim to “act immediately to fix the law” regarding the High Court's decision on the Mount Pleasant coal mine. “There is no change that’s required to the federal environment law, because our laws don’t require these kinds of considerations at the moment anyway,” Mr Watt told News24. “It will now be for the New South Wales government to determine how they respond to that.”
