France in chaos as interest bill climbs to more than €100 billion per year

Institute of Public Affairs Chief Economist Adam Creighton says France is “massively indebted” as the country grapples with multiple issues mounting. “The French state spends more than 50 per cent of GDP,” Mr Creighton told News24 Digital Presenter Gabriella Power. “The government is huge; it's massively indebted as well. “The government's interest bill is coming up to €100 billion every year.”
