‘Scrap the cap’: Labor blasted for ignoring veterans over controversial healthcare crackdown

Nationals Leader Matt Canavan accuses the government of failing to properly consult the veterans community, urging Labor to scrap the healthcare cap and start again with genuine consultation. “I don’t think the government thought this through,” Mr Canavan told News24 host Paul Murray. “They certainly haven’t discussed it with the Veterans community. “The best thing they could do to show good faith to the veterans’ community is to put these decisions to the side, scrap the cap and then go out and do the consultation.”
