‘Reviving the American family’: White House weighs radical plan to pay parents to stay home

News24 Contributor Kosha Gada says the proposal to financially support parents who stay home to raise their children is an innovative attempt to strengthen the traditional American family within an increasingly welfare-dependent society. “It is quite innovative,” Ms Gada told News24 host Sharri Markson. “Like it or not, we are in a welfare society ... what he’s trying to do is shift it to the one consistency, reviving the American family.”
